海南斋醮科仪音乐——海南道士在进行斋醮科仪（一种按一定程式礼仪进行的法事）时演奏的音乐，至少在明代已形成，主要流传于海南定安等地。

斋醮祭祀活动催生了斋醮科仪音乐，包括有斋仪音乐和醮仪音乐两类。以斋醮活动为载体，历经千百年不断地丰富、发展和传播，溶民间音乐和佛教道教音乐为一体，独具一格，发挥着“钟鼓乐之，琴瑟和之”的社会功能。

Hainan Taoist Ritual Music was developed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or even earlier and is popular in Ding’an.

Taoist rituals have given rise to a special type of music, which has been enriched and
spread for centuries. The music incorporates elements of folk music and Buddhist music, serving the functions of entertainment and social harmony.
